One thing I can say is the meat is bomb . The tri tip and brisket had a good flavor especially with the bbq sauce . However , the sides are lacking big time in flavor . The mac & cheese had no flavor at all. Same with the chili beans. The coleslaw portion wss a joke for almost 5$ they barely put any & also it had a weird flavor to it . The potato salad tasted like the one you used to get from the school salad bar or the one that you buy in the Safeway deli , Ain’t no way someone whipped that up in the back and called it homemade because that is not no homemade potato salad coming from a big back . The wings were pretty crispy and had a good flavor

For California BBQ, Good Life is great! Ribs were tender, had good flavor. The Tri Tip was also good. The Turkey was moist and flavorful. None required sauce, however the hot bbq sauce was good. Service was awesome. They were helpful and friendly. Don't skip Good Life if you want quality bbq in Stockton check em out. 40 for a 3 meat plate with 2 sides is fairly priced. They had several options at a lower price point if that concerns you. I've paid more for lesser quality food at other places. Definitely coming back again.

Best bbq in town and best prices !! Dee (I hope I’m spelling correctly) was super welcoming, and did not rush when taking our order. The food was JUICY and Flavorful, the brisket and tri-tip was so tender !! And the chef was not shy with the meats!!! The Mac was super creamy and delicious! 🤤 Family and I loved the different options from the menu rather you want sliders to try a little bit of all or go big and get a combo , oh and the bbq sauces MOUTH WATERING

This place was originally Fat City BBQ and now it's the Good Life BBQ, and OMG 😲 The hamburger was a 1/2 lb patty with brisket and onion strings and BBQ sauce It was to die for.

I been on a BBQ hunt and this spot I seen on IG. Staff extremely friendly and as I waited for my order the owner/ manager offered me a beverage and I truly appreciated it!! The food was amazing and delicious. I knew favorite place for BBQ.
